In my Capstone project, I will address the issue of employee retention. And during my time here at Boom Health, the number of retaining employees is minimal. According to my analysis, this challenge is attributed due to a lack of growth in the employment period, lack of communication, and lack of resources in terms of HR not providing the required assistance to the employees.
As the retention of employees goes down, this will result in reducing Boom Health overall profits. According to Wroblewski (2022), the reasons the employees usually decide to resign may be multifaceted and complex, which necessitates typically lower productivity, which also means low profits. What usually happens is the employee will take up all of their skills, knowledge, and experience with her, and I have seen that leaving the company in shambles.
Another system usually affected by high employee turnover is concerning productivity within the company. Generally, the productivity rate in the workplace usually decreases when the company cannot be able to retain its employees (Frost, 2022). As a result, the person brought in will need time to adjust, and they won’t be able to finish tasks as fast as the person who previously occupied the position. Tasks that will depend on the new employees might slow down the overall productivity levels of the experienced employees.
In addition, a lack of retaining employees will subsequently lead to a lack of morale within the company setting. It is usually apparent that one of the first adjustments the company will notice is a reduction in employee morale (Smith, 2022). Notably, when more employees leave, the ones who remain might have happened to lose a valuable work friend, which usually matters more than one could imagine leading to a lack of motivation.
