This abstract should be no more than half a page, single-spaced, and should provide a clear, concise explanation of the argument the subsequent paper will make and the key evidence you located which supports your argument. It should include:
An introductory paragraph in which you outline your thesis, and how you will prove it;
A main paragraph describing the structure of your paper in as much detail as possible given the stage you are at with your research, and the limited amount of words at your disposal.
You will outline the different sections composing your work, and state briefly what each section will be about.

A short list of the references you have cited in your Abstract, if any (which you will not include in your word count).
You will write an 8-10 page analyzing the current status of America’s foreign policy towards Russia. Your analysis must cover multiple aspects of American foreign policy making since 1989, such as the balance of power (regional or global, including changes in America’s military posture), examples of soft and hard power use, diplomatic/economic approaches (aid and/or sanctions) and constraints limiting America’s policies towards Russia. Please frame your assessment within current events considering how the Crimean War, the Ukrainian War and the Russian interference in the 2016 and 2020 American presidential elections impacted current America’s foreign policy towards Russia.
