The problem of practice at ABC ISD will address the increasing discipline referrals in ninth grade. I propose to evaluate the effectiveness of Restorative Practice (RP) models and their ability to reduce disparities by comparing and contrasting patterns within discretionary and mandatory disciplinary practices, using assessment data to address African American student disproportionality in our district’s disciplinary system. With addressing this problem, a change management plan and advisory board will be created to eliminate barriers associated with student discipline in ABC ISD.
