This assignment will challenge you to explore an important nursing issue and implications for community health nursing by writing an academic paper using research literature. This is an important step in being able to advocate for changes to healthcare policy. Therefore, articulate your points carefully and logically in the form of an opening paragraph introducing your topic, followed by paragraphs which dig deeper into your points with supporting researched evidence.
To start your paper, you need to provide a brief introduction of SDOH, including poverty and homelessness and your chosen SDOH to explore. You are exploring the impact this SDOH has on populations, specific or otherwise, and the implications the impacts have on Community Health Nursing. Your introduction should include three points (3 impacts) that you will further explore in three body paragraphs. Introduce the exploration of community-nursing implications that will occur in the body of your paper.
The body of the paper will be well-developed paragraphs that explore the points you stated in your introduction. Each impact will have an implication for the practice of a CHN, also clearly explored in your writing.
Finally, in your conclusion, you will restate your SDOH, points to explain its importance and how there are implications for community nursing. It is important for nurses to be able to use “evidence to influence policy and practice,” which is why you will be required to correctly and effectively integrate evidence from the assigned readings (Advocacy, 2016) .
