Task: Your task is to write a thoughtful 1,500 word paper, citing at least three sources using the Chicago Manual of Style.
Details: For this research paper I’d like you to consider the question : What is craft in the 21st century? Thinking like an historian, consider the makers and exhibitions we’ve discussed in class, as well as others you find on your own, to make a claim about the dominate zeitgeist of the 21st century and how this is evidenced in various making practices. Support your assertion by describing three makers whose work reflects this idea; whose work “proves” your claim. For example you could claim that craft in the 21st century is magical, and describe three makers who create work for ritual, or occult practices. Your paper should include at least three sources, cited using Chicago Manual of Style.
